Culture and Sports

Festivals, opera, dance, theater, museums, art, ice hockey, Finnish pesäpallo (a kind of baseball game) and much more!

There are a myriad of festivals throughout the year in Finland, many of them having been established decades ago. You can try jazz in Pori, Espoo, Turku, and Tampere, opera in Savonlinna in the summer, Big Band in Imatra, the Lahti Sibelius festival, choir and chamber music, blues, brass, rock, organ and piano, and the International Roma Music Festival in Porvoo, to mention only a few.

Theater, both classical and contemporary abound.

Ski holiday time in the spring, Formula1 racing, Nordic walking, hiking, orienteering, sailing, ice hockey, it’s all here!
