Fulbright Finland alum Bengt Holmström Wins Nobel Prize in Economics

Finnish ASLA-Fulbright alum Bengt Holmström wins the 2016 Nobel Prize in Economics, together with Oliver Hart, for his contribution to contract theory.  Dr. Holmström was an ASLA grantee in 1974-1975 to Stanford University, where he continued to gain his doctorate. Currently he works at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as Paul A. Samuelson Professor of Economics.

Dr. Holmström has written about his own exchange experience and the importance of international exchanges in general in his column Passion and Professionalism, in the Fulbright Center News magazine.
