Number of Finns Studying in U.S. Higher Education Institutions Rising

According to the 2015 Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange, the number of Finnish students enrolled in U.S. institutions of higher education in 2014/15 was 669, which is two percent higher than the year before (656). The total number of international students in the U.S. increased by 10% in last academic year, which is the highest rate of growth in 35 years.  Looking at the reverse side of the student mobility picture, Open Doors also reported that 263 American students studied in Finnish higher education institutions in the 2014/15 academic year.

The Open Doors report is published annually by the Institute of International Education in partnership with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
