Record Number of American Students Studying in Finnish Universities

According to Open Doors 2012, the annual report on international academic mobility published by the Institute of International Education (IIE) in partnership with the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the United States Department of State, the number of Finnish students enrolled in U.S. institutions of higher education in 2011/12 was 640, which is almost exactly the same as the year before (639).  Looking at the reverse side of the student mobility picture, Open Doors also reported that 312 American students studied in Finland in the 2010/11 academic year, an increase of 47.9 percent.
