Truth Matters: Strategies for Combating Manipulated Realities” is a public seminar addressing manipulated realities, media literacy and fact-checking. The seminar is organized by the Fulbright Finland Foundation and it takes place on March 13, 2019 at the new Helsinki Central Library Oodi.

Making Democracies Resilient to Modern Threats

The seminar will seek to highlight a wide range of threats that democracies face today and may face tomorrow as well as provide strategies for institutions and individuals to understand and deal with these threats.

The seminar is organized by the Fulbright Finland Foundation in cooperation with the Finnish Prime Minister’s Office, the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the United States Department of State, and hosted by the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.


Fulbright Finland Capacity Building Workshop on Establishing Partnership Agreements with U.S. Universities to Increase Student Mobility

The workshop aims to help Finnish higher education institutions in their efforts to establish and maintain well-functioning partnership agreements with U.S. universities, and to increase student and staff mobility between Finland and the U.S. The event is full-day, free of charge and includes lunch and refreshments. A reception hosted by the Finnish Ministry for Education and Culture will conclude the workshop program. Sign up by February 22!

"Towards a Sustainable Arctic Future," Fulbright Arctic Symposium in Oulu gathered together Arctic scientists, students, policymakers, representatives from NGOs and other key stakeholders, as well as general public. The event was organized as part of the mid-term meeting of the international cohort of Arctic researchers participating in the Fulbright Arctic Initiative (FAI) Program. The Symposium was organized jointly by the Fulbright Finland Foundation and the Thule Institute, University of Oulu.
