2018-2019 U.S. Fulbright Finland grantees and members of the ASLA-Fulbright Alumni Association at Design Museum Nuutajärvi in May 2019

Get Active with the Alumni Community

Alumni are the mainstay of Fulbright Finland and all former grantees are automatically included in our alumni community.  For some, this can be a lifelong involvement, for others just a short commitment – whatever you are comfortable with is valuable.

Fulbright Finland alumni represent the realization of our mission and vision and provide a critical mass of persons who know Finland first hand and who have already made a commitment to the Fulbright enterprise.

There are so many ways to stay connected with Fulbright Finland, just a small sample: become a member of the alumni advisory group, get active in one of the ongoing projects, host or sponsor a get-together or lecture, write an article for the Fulbright Finland News magazine.
Continue your Fulbright in Finland experience as a part of the active Fulbright Finland alumni network!

ASLA-Fulbright Alumni Association

2015 ASLA-Fulbright Alumni Association Season Greetings participants

Membership in the ASLA-Fulbright Alumni Association provides you with an excellent opportunity to continue connecting with the Fulbright community in Finland as well as internationally.

The association builds awareness of the Fulbright program through events, meetings, and lectures for it’s alumni members and current Fulbright grantees in Finland.  All alumni living in Finland are welcome to join and become active Association members. Founded in 1953, the ASLA-Fulbright Alumni Association is one of the oldest Fulbright alumni associations in the world.

Friends of Fulbright Finland (FoFF)

FoFF is an informal network for Americans and others who are interested in supporting the Fulbright Finland Foundation and its various grant and outreach programs. Established in 2007, FoFF works to create opportunities for Fulbright alumni to continue their engagement with Finland and Fulbright in Finland.  Events and programs take place regularly, bringing alumni together and providing platforms to extend hospitality to one another and to visiting Finns and sharing knowledge about the Fulbright Finland grant programs for Americans.

Network for the Alumni of U.S. State Department Exchange Programs

In addition to Fulbright Finland's Community, the alumni may join an online global community. International Exchange Alumni is a website for all alumni of exchange programs sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Register online and take advantage of the grants database, professional development opportunities, and the e-library of more than 20,000 online magazines and newspapers!
