VTT and Fulbright Finland Renewed Cooperation Agreement

VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland and the Fulbright Finland Foundation renewed their cooperation agreement for the Fulbright-VTT Grant in Science, Technology and Innovation program last week in Otaniemi. VTT and Fulbright Finland have had joint grant programs since 2004 and the current program was founded in 2012.

This year the program will bring Miiri Kotche from the University of Illinois at Chicago and Yun Ji from the University of North Dakota to Finland.

The renewed program aims to increase the number of scholars in the future and bring five U.S. scholars to VTT annually.

The agreement was signed by Antti Vasara, CEO of VTT, and Terhi Mölsä, CEO of Fulbright Finland, on 15th of June. Both VTT and Fulbright Finland highlighted the importance of increasing collaboration and international opportunities.

The Fulbright-VTT grant program helps VTT to broaden its international networks, bring in technological talent to Finland, and to increase its cooperation and visibility in the United States. One of the goals of the program is to increase the knowledge about Finland and its know-how abroad.
