Juho Kähkönen
Researcher of International Relations & International Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Lapland; Study of the U.S. Institute for Student Leaders from Europe 2014–15; Fulbright Arctic Initiative Research Award 2024–26

Juho Kähkönen is a researcher of International Relations & International Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Lapland. He is a Fulbright alumnus, and his research interests include Arctic politics, climate change, resilience, logistics, and tourism. He serves in several positions of trust, including the Board of the Arctic Society of Finland and the Board of the University of the Arctic (UArctic), one of the largest university networks globally. Born and raised 300 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle, he is dedicated to working for the best of the Arctic environment and communities. Before his academic career, he led international EU consortiums on green transition and worked in the tourism industry on four continents.
