Information about the 2025 American Voices Seminar

The purpose of the seminar is to bring U.S. Fulbrighters and the Fulbright Finland team together about halfway through the fall semester and to provide an opportunity to share American views, ideas, and culture with Finnish audiences.

Upcoming deadlines:

  • September xx - Register for the seminar
  • Write down your presentation topic and the names of your co-presentors, to this document by September 6
  • Send your group presentation as one file by uploading it into this Dropbox folder by October 7. If you are unable to upload the presentation into the folder, you can send it to Heidi Tiainen ([email protected]).
  • October 27 - tickets and receipts for travel reimbursement

The 32nd American Voices seminar will be held on Friday and Saturday 11-12 October, 2025, starting Friday lunchtime and finishing on Saturday afternoon.

The seminar is held in Turku (a 2-hour train ride from Helsinki and Tampere), and it is organized by the Fulbright Finland Foundation and the Department of English at the University of Turku.
