Confirming Travel Plans
After receiving the Fulbright Finland Inter-Country Award letter and signing the Fulbright Finland Foundation Terms document, the Finnish host and the U.S. Fulbrighter should proceed with the confirmation and reservations of the scholar’s flights to Finland. Once the schedule and cost has been confirmed, please notify the Fulbright Finland Foundation and the Fulbrighter's home country Fulbright Commission or Post of the details.
- The Fulbright Finland Foundation does not cover business or first class tickets.
- If the price of the flights has changed significantly since the submission of the application, please contact Fulbright Finland team as soon as possible.
- The Foundation is not able to provide for insurance coverage for the duration of the trip to Finland or cover any additional costs resulting from the trip, unless agreed upon prior to travel.
The Finnish host and the Fulbrighter must agree well in advance on local costs such as accommodation, meals, travel and other resulting expenses among themselves.

At your earliest convenience after the trip, we look forward to hearing your feedback on your visit. The visiting scholar and the host institution are asked to send a short report on the visit within fourteen days of the end of the visit.

If there should be any media coverage or photos resulting from the visit, the Foundation would very much appreciate you sharing those with us during or immediately after the visit.
After the Inter-Country visit, the Fulbright Finland Foundation will reimburse the ticket cost based on receipts either directly to the lecturer or to the Finnish host. Please send the tickets, receipts, and boarding passes to the Fulbright Finland Foundation after the trip. Electronic documents can be submitted using the link below.
Please make sure that you have sent the bank information form to Fulbright Finland before your trip to Finland.
