Opportunities for Alumni in the U.S.
On this page we have listed ways for you to get active with the Fulbright Finland alumni community in the U.S.
- Get involved with the Friends of Fulbright Finland (FoFF). FoFF is an informal network for Americans and others who are interested in supporting the Fulbright Finland Foundation and its various grant and outreach programs.
- Help us develop new initiatives. Be a sounding board, offer feedback and recommendations.
- Write about your Fulbright Finland experience for our blog, the Fulbright Finland News magazine or provide short impact statements for social media.
- Promote the grant programs: give info sessions at your home institution, participate in Study Abroad fairs, send targeted invitations to prospective applicants.
- Encourage a colleague to apply for a Fulbright Finland grant program to study, conduct research or teach in Finland.
- Organize informal alumni networking get-togethers (after work happy hours, picnics...)
- Launch a scholarship.
- Participate as an alumni evaluator in the selection committees.
- Participate in alumni study tours to Finland.
- Serve as an expert speaker for the Fulbright Finland Foundation events.
- Give back to the community! Donate and offer your support in fundraising efforts.
- Facilitate and encourage your university to sponsor a grant.
- Advocate and share concrete value and impact to government officials.
